DIY Baby Keepsakes Shadow Box

Hello my lovely berries!

Today I want to share with you a way to preserve baby memories. This is a very cute way to turn newborn keepsakes into art. I found that a shadow box is the perfect way to display those newborn treasures. This quick craft is easy to make and you can hang it in the nursery so you and your baby, will never forget just how tiny she/he was. I've already made a shadow box with my daughter's christening outfit. You can check it out here.

Let's make your own baby shadow box in just three steps.

Step 1: Gather your keepsakes
Baby's coming home outfit, the hat they wore in the hospital, name letters, first booties, first pacifier, the hospital ID bracelet, tiny footprints, a tiny diaper, baby's first photo.

Step 2: Buy the supplies
I only needed to buy a frame from Ikea (RIBBA frame, 50x50cm)

Step 3: Put it together
Start by lining your shadow box with scrapbook paper or fabric. Next, start pinning your keepsakes to the board.

Now hang it in your baby's nursery or on a family photo wall where you can pause to treasure those first memories of your newborn.

Hope you'll give this a try. Merry Christmas!

Elephant Diaper Cake

Hello my lovely friends!

We met our little nephew for the first time, today. He is so cute and tiny! I've already forgot how it is to have a little baby. Aww . . . Welcome to the family, baby Arthur! And also happy 2 months, cute baby boy!
So, like I always do when I meet babies, I've made a diaper cake for him. And I think it turned out so cute and I want to share it with you!

Our First Family Vacation

Hello my lovely berries!

Sometimes, when you look at a photo like this you may think, well easy for them to have that relationship, life and family. But the reality it takes facing discomfort and challenges right in your face and still going after it. This was our first family vacation👨‍👩‍👧Travelling with a toddler is never easy, especially for first time parents and especially travelling to a beach resort presents a whole different set of challenges, thanks to the sun, sand and sea. This trip was very hard, but we also made some great memories as a #familyof3

Babies and toddlers only want your undivided attention. This was our case too, and full disclosure, we both got irritated - with her, with each other, with life. This was supposed to be the setting of our mental recharge, and catch up on our sleep so we would return home as rested, smarter parents. But then we realized that life is short and this trip will only last 7 days, so it's time to start enjoying the last moments from this experience.

ONEderful

Dear Lea Rosa,

you were born one year ago today and I can't believe where the time has gone and how you are so big already. You have taught me so much about myself and about life, you have shown me that I am stronger than I ever knew, and that we do everything for you because we love you so much. I want you to know that you have lit up my life and given me a purpose I never knew of before 💕 I love you!

How did this happen so fast? Lea is already one and we couldn't be more in love with our funny, sweet, cute and sassy little baby. ❤

And here is a video I made about her first year of life.
Happy birthday, baby girl!

With love,

LOVE sign with Baby Handprint & Footprint

Happy Valentine's Day!

It's our baby's first Valentine's Day and I wanted to make it a little more special, so we did a little craft ^_^  Little one had lots of fun as mommy put paint on the bottom of her feet, but on her hand not so much :P

I love a good piece of sentimental art. And I love this one so so much. My mini strawberry is turning one next week (what?!), so those little hand and foot prints are going to be small for much longer.

A little red paint, an almost 1 year old hand and feet and our piece of art was finished.

With love,
